Congratulations to Danika Mercado, our newest JROTC cadet receiving the Army SSG Ryan Christian Knauss at Barbers Hill JROTC High School in Mont Belvieu, Texas! Ms. Mercado has 4 daughters serving or entering the military. This is a family after my heart. Danika’s 2 older sisters are already serving, Danika has enlisted in the Airforce, and her younger sister is serving in Barbers Hill JROTC program currently. This is the 1st year of Barbers Hills JROTC program and The Respect and Remember Foundation gave the school’s chosen cadet their 1st JROTC scholarship on behalf of Army SSG Ryan Christian Knauss.
